Sensei Peter Fernie (4th Dan) has trained in martial arts for over 35 years and follows the traditional style of Karate-Do.He runs 2 Dojo’s in Mt Eliza and Cranbourne.

The meaning of Kenseikan in its pure form is – “Ken” is a fist, and “Sei” is life.
Adding a Zen influence it translates as
“Live your life believing in the power of your own true Self”

Kenseikan Karate-Do is a traditional Japanese school of karate based on the Shotokan style and was formed by Sensei Tainen Takemori. He trained with Gichin Funakoshi who is widely regarded as the founder of modern Japanese karate, and who founded Shotokan.
